Each jockey is a replica of a famous derby winner. Gwen Reardon was the designer and developer of these detailed masterpieces. Gwen used the wipes and boots of the famous jockies to make a mold to assure that these replicas were as realistic as possible. Gwen wasn't just an artist. She was the daughter of a horse trainer and she also used to compete as a rider, but she also gave up her horse life to "horse around" with her artistic abilities.
